Dobar has been proudly serving customers since 2018, overcoming the challenges of the pandemic and emerging stronger than ever. During the COVID-19 restrictions, we adapted by shortening our hours and focusing on deliveries. It was undoubtedly a challenging time, with new regulations being introduced overnight, forcing us to pivot quickly. But that’s part of running a business—making decisions that benefit not only the business but also the team, and implementing those changes swiftly.

Our popularity was on the rise just before the pandemic, with queues of 50 to 100 people waiting to be seated. Our unique concept, featuring a blend of sweet and savoury dishes on a single plate, became a talking point across London. One of our signature offerings, the OMG Breakfast, combines pancakes, maple syrup, fresh fruit, and savoury items, giving our customers the best of both worlds in one indulgent meal. This concept was inspired by two trips to New York, where I visited some of Manhattan’s top breakfast and brunch spots. I wanted to bring a similar experience to London, with my own twist.

As soon as the lockdowns ended and life started returning to normal, we reopened our doors with excitement, eager to welcome back our loyal regulars. The support we received was overwhelming, and our success continued to grow. We even caught the attention of Vogue, which named us one of the best brunch spots in London. This recognition has since attracted visitors from around the world, who add Dobar to their list of must-visit places when they’re in the city.
